A LEARNING TRAJECTORY FOR PROBABILITY: A CASE OF GAME-BASED LEARNING

This research is aimed to describe a learning trajectory for probability through game-based learning. The employed design consisting of three stages: preparing the experiment, and retrospective analysis. A hypothetical (HLT) using Sudoku Snake-and-ladder games was developed by collecting data documentation, interviews, classroom observations. HLT implemented in investigate students’ actual trajectory. results this indicate that helped students understand concept probability. based on seen from perspective four levels emergent modeling. In first level – ‘situational level’ Ladder-and-Snake were played students. second ‘referential where rules used as starting point learn Communication during game playing stimulated students' knowledge about random events, sample spaces, points, events. At third ‘general tree table diagrams generalize possible outcomes an experiment develop understanding spaces points. Lastly, at ‘formal their informal into formal concepts probabilities.
